Donor Trust
What makes people give? Studies show that reputation and trust are crucial to an organization's ability to secure donations. Here are a few things donors consider before they give:
- Length of time since established
(old = trusted)
- Stewardship record (not wasteful)
- Well-governed (respected people associated)
- Money will get to the cause (efficient administration and fund-raising)
- Good services (good physical facilities = good services)
- Style of agency (overall impression gained from contact with printed material from
the agency)
