Pearl Roberts is one of Vancouver's leading fundraising and communications professionals. Over the past 20 years, she has helped organizations across BC achieve their strategic goals, strengthen their reputations and integrate their communications programs. Her work has been recognized with 20 awards from regional and national organizations.
Before forming Iris Communications in 1984, Pearl worked in management positions at educational institutions, a crown corporation and a professional association. She has a teaching degree and a master's degree in adult education from UBC.
Pearl is past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Vancouver Chapter. She has also served on the boards of the City of Vancouver Heritage Conservation Society, the Minerva Foundation for BC Women and the Science Council of British Columbia, where she chaired the Marketing Committee. As well, she has served on committees for the YWCA Women of Distinction Awards and Celebrate Philanthropy Day.
In 2000, Pearl was nominated as one of 20 finalists in Business in Vancouver's first annual Influential Women in Business Awards.
When she's not immersed in Iris projects, Pearl enjoys watching eagles and hummingbirds from her home on Galiano Island. She is a novice sailor who likes conducting cooking experiments. |
